Singing Walks at Ashton Court

Join Julia Turner and Rachael Dadd for immersive singing walks through the seasons among the ancient oaks, park lands and bluebell woods of Ashton Court. Learn simple seasonal songs by ear to sing together as we walk, designed to nourish us as we journey through the year. We come together to mark solstices, equinoxes and the mid points between them to foster a deeper connection to all that is the non human world as we turn through the seasons.

All voices welcome. Suitable for babes in arms and children who can walk a mile (suggested 7+).

Meet by Ashton Court Mansion. Drop pin provided.

Fireside Sings at Abbots Leigh

Introducing Fireside Sings! As a natural extension of our popular singing walks this year we are trying something new. Join us in the beautiful woods at Abbots Leigh (Leigh Court Farm) for timeless singing around a roaring fire. We will share soup, songs and musical gifts.

Bring a torch, a cup and a bowl and journey into the woods at night for this gathering beneath a canopy to reconnect to yourself and others and drink in the energies of the season in the calm holding of the trees, the fire and the song.

Meet by the car park to walk into the woods together. Drop pin provided. Children aged 10+ welcome too.

Sing in nature through the seasons

Outdoor singing experiences delivered to you all year round by Julia Turner and Rachael Dadd in green spaces in Bristol.

Come and join one of our events to foster a sense of belonging, increase resilience and connect to nature and the seasons.

Julia Turner is founder of Bristol’s legendary BYOB Choir that has been running for 12 years. She is a song writer and jazz musician and brings her own fresh and original material to her workshops and choir sessions.

Rachael Dadd is a community music facilitator and founder of OAK choir. She has been writing nature inspired songs for 20 years, touring extensively with her band before discovering her love of leading other people in song.

Julia and Rachael believe strongly in the power of singing in nature all year round for well-being. They have experienced this first hand as well as witnessing it and receiving feedback from those who sing with them.
